Over a year ago we started looking to purchase a home in the Parker area so we could be closer to our children and grandchildren. The inventory was limited and we weren’t willing to compromise on what we wanted. With the market as crazy as it has been, inventory was low and when a home came on the market it sold almost immediately. We did find four different homes but were outbid. It was getting frustrating and disappointing. Joy never gave up on us and kept looking. She was not only knowledgeable, professional but personal, upbeat, and encouraging with our venture. Literally, a year had passed when a house came on the market. Bob went through it and knew immediately it was the perfect house for us. Perfect floor plan, location, and everything we wanted in a home. Joy did her diligence in getting the ball rolling, we put in an offer, and low and behold it was accepted. She suggested we not put the home we were living in on the market until after closing on our new home until after closing. Best suggestion ever, the home we were in sold immediately. Buying a home today is totally different than it was even six years ago. The paperwork is endless and overwhelming. And knew the market and what it takes to complete a transaction. Joy is up to date on everything and well informed on the market. Joy is kind and thoughtful and most of all listen to what you want and how to best go about getting it done. Joy McWilliams has been fantastic to work with. We had a few moving pieces to work with selling our home. We did not want to move twice and we needed extra flexibility with a close date since we only knew tentatively when our new home might finish construction. Due to this, we had initially decided to go with an iBuyer and have a “quick sale” approach. We started down that path, but before giving the green light to the iBuyer we decided to reach out to an agent. The majority of our communication was done remotely, and we felt immediately comfortable with her market expertise, positive demeanor, and confidence that our home was out there for us. We were living in Wyoming when my husband accepted a new job in the Denver area. The highly-rated schools in the southeast corner attracted us to the Parker region. We called Joy McWilliams. Joy was wonderful to work with. She is very knowledgeable of the area and was able to guide us through the chaotic housing market even before we even stepped foot in Colorado. Joy planned showings around our schedule and did live video walkthroughs of any home we were interested in. I know she was busy, but the entire time we felt like her only client. Throughout the process, she stayed aggressive with incredible energy, even on the days we looked at a dozen houses. Of special note, as nerve-racking as the process was, Joy was always there to calm and comfort us. Twice I reached out to her with what I was worried was major concerns only to get a quick reply of “no problem”. She was right. We love our new home.

The home we bought with Joy's help is the 6th home we have purchased or sold, all with different Realtors®. None of them can compare to Joy. She is smart, knows the local market, helped us with negotiations, and followed up on everything. She showed up for home inspections and the walk-through on the day of closing (never had that experience before) to lend another pair of eyes and ears, which turned out to be very important. Her expertise helped us with some minor and one major warranty issue when the builder was hesitant to make the expensive correction. She removed the stress and anxiety of dealing with this major plumbing repair because she just took care of it with the builder in a way that got the right result quickly. When we sell this home or buy a new one, we will definitely work with Joy again!

Joy was a dream to work with. Over the years we have bought and sold multiple homes. Most Realtors® were not a joy to work with. It didn't always feel like they had our best interests at heart and/or didn't seem to really know what they were doing. However, Joy is a joy to work with. She was on top of everything. Moved at the pace we needed/wanted. Offered expertise and guided us through a couple of bumps. She was upbeat but realistic. We never felt like we were getting anything but her best.
